Human Nature Adventure Therapy

Where challenge meets change

Since 2015, Human Nature has been dedicated to offering innovative, nature-based mental health support for young people. Our programs are based on decades of experience, with connection and building trust at the heart of what we do.  We support some of the most vulnerable young people across the Far North Coast of NSW who are at greatest risk of dire consequences if they don’t get the help they desperately need.

Our vision is a world where young people triumph over adversity and thrive.

We believe that all young people, regardless of their circumstances, should have the opportunity to access mental health support that truly meets their needs, setting them on a positive trajectory to become valued contributors to our society.

Our mission

To empower young people to navigate life’s challenges – transforming trauma and disadvantage into healing and growth.

We do it by listening to young people, meeting them where they are and walking alongside them on their mental health journey for as long as they need us.

Who we help

Our core focus is young people aged between 14 and 20 living in the Far North Coast of NSW. These are young people who may be struggling with mental health issues, childhood trauma, drug and alcohol problems, behavioural difficulties and social exclusion.

Through a network of referral partners, we connect with young people who are not able to access the support they need and who are most likely to benefit from what our programs offer. We work closely with their families, schools and relevant supporting agencies including foster care agencies, juvenile justice, youth services, drug and alcohol services.
