Exmouth District High School P&C Association Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser for Year 6 Camp

Please support our fundraiser and purchase a ticket in our Golf Ball Drop Raffle.

Exmouth Golf Club have generously offered for us to use their premises on the 20th May 2023 to conduct a golf ball drop at their club.

What is this?

The golf balls are numbered 1 to 1000, each ball representing the corresponding ticket sold. The balls are dropped from a crane with a man cage or an elevated work platform somewhere between 15 - 45 metres high depending on the machinery available on the day generously supported by Raytheon Australia. 

The balls are dropped on the 18th Green about 3 metres away from the hole. The ball that lands closest to the pin or in the hole wins 1st prize. The 2nd ball wins 2nd prize and the 3rd ball wins 3rd prize. If more than one ball goes in the hole than the ball at the bottom wins 1st prize. The same applies to 2nd and 3rd. If balls are exactly the same distance from the hole and a clear winner can not be determined than a barrel draw of the numbers only relating to those balls will be conducted to determine the winner.

If balls 3 and 4 are exactly the same distance from the hole and a clear winner can not be determined than a barrel draw of the numbers only relating to those balls will be conducted to determine the place for the corresponding prize.

The next 5 balls closest to the pin/hole, these being balls 4th through to 8th, will also receive a minor prize of equal value. Again if balls 8 and 9 are exactly the same distance from the hole and a clear winner can not be determined than a barrel draw of the numbers only relating to those balls will be conducted to determine the winner.

The people attending the draw are located at the clubhouse and the path to the green is blocked so no one can access where the golf balls fall. Spectators have a great view from the clubhouse.

Winners will be notified by our best effort via phone and announced at the drop on the day. Results will be published on the https://www.facebook.com/EDHSPandC on 21st May 2023.

All prizes shall be transferred to the winners nominated bank account within 30 days of the completion of the lottery.

The Golf Ball Drop will take place at the Exmouth Golf Club on Saturday 20th May 2023 at 5.30pm.
