About The Queen Street & West Woollahra Association Ltd

The QSWWA is a community organisation representing local residents and businesses in the Queen Street and West Woollahra area. The Association is focused on preserving and maintaining the unique 'village’ atmosphere of Woollahra, building and enhancing a strong community spirit and sense of identity for its residents, and supporting local businesses create an attractive, vibrant commercial environment.We do this in a number of ways: 1. We publish a local magazine, the Village Voice, four times a year, which is distributed to 5,000 households and businesses, providing local news and advertising, and is available in electronic form on this website here. We are always looking for contributors, so please get in touch. 2. We run a regular annual program of events for members and the community, including our: - Christmas Carols in Chiswick Park - Christmas Window Display Competition for local businesses - Annual Dinner at local restaurants - Annual General Meeting and Social Drinks 3. From time to time, we also run one off events, such as Paint Queen Street, French Week in Queen Street and Clean Up days, again all focussed on enhancing the community spirit and supporting our local businesses. Our major event in 2025 is the Woollahra Festival on the last weekend in March, sponsored by Woollahra Council, local businesses and a raffle. 4. We promote the community, local businesses and events through social media on our Woollahra Village Facebook page, our woollahravillage_qswwa Instagram account and this website. 5. We continue to monitor and mobilise the community to object to unsuitable development applications and plans which would negatively impact our environment.
