ABOUT THE SILENT SIGHT FOUNDATION

The Silent Sight Foundation is a family-led charity founded by Stephen Simone in 2024 after his two young sons, Francesco (2) and Vincenzo (1), were diagnosed with Usher Syndrome, a rare genetic sensory condition which for them means they were:
- Born completely deaf,
- Born without sense of balance, and most heartbreakingly
- Will begin losing their vision around primary school age, ultimately leading to complete blindness
Whilst the deafness is managed via cochlear implants and the balance issues via physiotherapy, there is unfortunately no treatment or cure for the blindness.
THE SCIENCE IS THERE BUT THE FUNDING IS NOT
With children like Francesco and Vincezo having already been robbed of their hearing and balance, the Silent Sight Foundation was created to deliver the breakthroughs that leads to effective treatments and ultimately a cure, to the blindness caused by Usher Syndrome.
RAFFLE PROCEEDS
Every raffle ticket you buy helps fund vision-saving and life-changing research.
Should you wish for the proceeds of your raffle ticket purchase to be allocated to a particular type of Usher Syndrome, please indicate the sub-type in the "Would you like to leave a message for Silent Sight Foundation?" section. Raffle tickets purchased with no specific type nominated will be allocated for either USH1B OR gene agnostic research initiatives. Refer to Silent Sights Research Funding Approach for more details.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Promoter
Silent Sight: Street Classica Raffle will be conducted by Silent Sight Foundation Ltd. The benefitting organisation is Silent Sight Foundation Ltd (ABN 14 677 333 649), a not-for-profit organisation.
Raffle Promotion Period
The Raffle starts at 01/08/2025.
The Raffle closes at 12PM, 26/09/2025. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Relevant States
Entry is open to residents of the following States/Territories aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Raffle:
- New South Wales (NSW)
- Victoria (VIC)
Residents of any other State and Territory not listed above are NOT PERMITTED to purchase tickets in the raffle and are not eligible for any prizes.
Entry Restrictions
The following people are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:
- Members of the Management Committee from the Organisation conducting the raffle or benefitting from the raffle;
- Employees and Contractors of RaffleTix;
- Any other person directly engaged in managing the raffle or conducting the draw; or
- Any immediate family members of any of the above. Immediate family means a person's spouse (including de-facto spouse), parents, children, and any other family members residing at the same premises as the person.
The following entities are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:
- The Organisation conducting the raffle;
- The Organisation benefitting from the raffle.
Verification Requirements
If requested by the Promoter, a person drawn as the winner of a prize must produce proof of age and residency prior to being awarded a prize. If they do not do this promptly to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, the Promoter may redraw the prize subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, in which case that person forfeits any right to claim the prize.
TICKET PRICE
The ticket price options can be seen under the Buy Tickets section on the raffle website.
Maximum Number of Entries
No maximum applies. Participants may purchase as many tickets as they like while the Raffle remains open, and tickets are available.
Prize Details
The prizes, including all relevant Terms and Conditions relating to the prizes, can be seen under the Prizes heading on the raffle website.
Prize values are accurate as at the commencement date for the Raffle. All costs, fees, charges, or expenses associated with the Prize(s), which are not specified, are the responsibility of the Winner(s).
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter will substitute it for another prize of equal or higher value (at the Promoter's absolute discretion), subject to regulatory approval.
Prize images may be for illustrative purposes only and are not necessarily an image of the actual prize.
Draw Details
The Draw will take place at 26/09/2025, at 28A Violet St, Essendon, VIC, 3040.
The draw will take place in accordance with State Government regulations. The draw will be conducted by the Promoter.
Draw Method
An electronic draw will be conducted. First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizes in descending order.
A numbered Raffle Ticket stub will be drawn at random from a barrel. First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizes in descending order.
Notification and Publication of Winners
Winners will be contacted by phone and email within 3 business days of being drawn. The Prize Winner's name will be published on the Raffle Website and the Silent Sight Foundation Ltd Facebook page within 3 business days of being drawn.
Prize Claim Date
Winners have twelve (12) months from the draw date in which to claim their prize.
Winners are to contact the Promoter to claim their prize.
If you are a Winner, you are responsible for your use of the Prize, including complying with all relevant laws and any applicable terms and conditions of use.
Unclaimed Prize Arrangements
If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the raffle Promoter will attempt to resolve the dispute directly with the Complainant. If a satisfactory outcome between the parties is unable to be achieved, the Promoter will liaise directly with the relevant State and Territory Authorities.
Additional Terms – Privacy
The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners reserve the right to send marketing communications to any entrant who opts-in to receive communications from the Promoter and its authorised marketing partners. The entrant can advise the Promoter at any time if they no longer wish to receive this information, by contacting the Promoter's Privacy Officer at info@silentsight.org. The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners may continue to send communications to the entrant for an indefinite period unless and until advised otherwise by the entrant.
