We're Team Still Broke, and in 2026 we're taking on the Shitbox Rally — driving a car worth less than $1,500 across some of the country's roughest and most remote terrain, all to raise funds for cancer research.

The Shitbox Rally is Cancer Council's largest community fundraiser, having raised over $50 million since 2009. Every team has to raise their own way to the start line, and this raffle is how we're doing ours.

We've put together three prizes worth $2,930:

1st Prize — Ultimate Hunter Valley Escape ($1,980) Two nights at Broke Estate's private cottage, a hot air balloon flight for two over the vineyards, and a welcome hamper packed with the best local produce.

2nd Prize — Broke Estate Glamping Weekend ($750) Two nights glamping in the heart of wine country, with a welcome cheese platter on arrival.

3rd Prize — Broke Estate Wine Selection ($200) A 6-pack of Broke Estate's own wine, shipped to your door anywhere in Australia.

How it works: Tickets are $25 each. Only 400 will be sold. The draw takes place on Saturday 27 June 2026 and winners will be announced on social media.

Conditions: Open to residents of NSW, QLD, SA and TAS aged 18+. All prizes must be redeemed within 12 months of the draw and are subject to availability; not redeemable for cash. Accommodation stays during long weekends and public holidays carry a 3-night minimum, with extra nights at the winner's cost. Hot air balloon flights are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled by the operator. Wine prize shipped Australia-wide; recipient must be 18+. Winners drawn at random and notified by email.
