JF SOFA
Designed and made by Remington Matters, the sofa is crafted from just three pieces of folded aluminium, held together with exposed stainless steel bolts and blind-tapped blocks. The sofa has a scotched aluminium finish with navy blue woven fabric upholstered cushions. Progress photos of the exact sofa will be posted on Public Private's Instagram.

BENCHED EXHIBITION
Bringing together designers, architects, makers and creatives from Adelaide and beyond, everyone has been given the same starting point, 1200mm(W) × 450mm(H), and asked to take it wherever they like.

The result is a collection of very different answers to a very simple question:

SOFA Sweepstake proceeds support the production and delivery of the exhibition, while also supportingthe ongoing work of Public Private; a not-for-profit platform creating new ways for people to engage witharchitecture and design through exhibitions, workshops, talks and other public programs.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Promoter

The BENCHED SOFA Sweepstake (“Raffle”) is conducted by Public Private (ABN 27 502 049 400), an unincorporated not-for-profit association based in South Australia.

Public Private is an architecture and design public engagement platform presenting exhibitions, workshops, public talks and other cultural programs.

Funds raised through the Raffle will support the production and delivery of BENCHED and Public Private’s broader architecture and design public programming.

The Raffle is administered online using the RaffleTix platform.

Raffle Promotion Period

The Raffle opens at 6:30PM ACST on 25/08/26.

The Raffle closes at 6:30pm ACST on 17/10/26.

No entries will be accepted after the closing time.

Eligibility

Entry is open to persons aged 18 years or older who are eligible to participate under applicable South Australian law.

Entry is limited to residents of South Australia due to different states and territories licensing.

Entry Restrictions

The following persons are not eligible to enter or win a prize:

1. members of the Management Committee of Public Private;

2. persons directly involved in the management, administration or conduct of the Raffle or draw;

3. employees or contractors of RaffleTix where prohibited by RaffleTix's terms; and

4. any other person prohibited from entering under applicable law.

Public Private itself is not eligible to enter the Raffle.

Where required, Public Private may request reasonable proof of an entrant's identity, age or eligibility before awarding the prize.

Tickets

Tickets are $20 each, 3 for $50 or 10 for $100.

Tickets may be purchased through the RaffleTix raffle website while the Raffle remains open and tickets remain available.

Each valid ticket constitutes one entry into the draw.

Each ticket has an equal chance of being drawn.

There is no maximum number of tickets an eligible entrant may purchase, subject to ticket availability.

Prize

The prize is one JF Sofa by Remington Matters.

Designed and made by Remington Matters, the JF Sofa is crafted from three pieces of folded aluminium and features exposed stainless steel bolts and blind-tapped blocks, paired with upholstered cushioning.

The prize is provided as described and displayed on the Raffle Website, with an alternative Italian leather upholstery finish. Progress of the prize sofa will be posted on Public Private's Instagram.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

Any costs associated with transporting or collecting the prize that are not expressly stated as included are the responsibility of the winner.

Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that descriptions and images accurately represent the prize. Images may vary slightly from the physical prize due to photography, screen reproduction or other factors.

Draw

The Raffle will be drawn at:

Date: 17/10/26
Time: 7:00pm ACST
Location: Queens Theatre, Playhouse Lane, Adelaide

The draw will be conducted by Public Private at the Opening Night of BENCHED.

The winning ticket will be selected at random from all eligible tickets entered in the Raffle, with each eligible ticket having an equal chance of being selected.

The draw will be conducted fairly and transparently and in accordance with applicable South Australian lottery requirements.

Winner Notification

The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided when purchasing their ticket.

If the winner is not present at the draw, Public Private will notify the winner in writing within seven days of the draw and provide details of the prize and how it may be collected or delivered.

The winner's name and/or winning ticket number may also be published on the Raffle Website and Public Private's social media channels.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that the contact information provided when purchasing tickets is accurate.

Claiming the Prize

The winner must contact Public Private and make reasonable arrangements for collection or delivery of the prize.

The winner may be required to provide identification and evidence that they are the lawful holder of the winning ticket.

The prize must be claimed within 30 days of the draw date.

Unclaimed Prize

If the winner cannot be contacted or the prize remains unclaimed after the claim period, Public Private will deal with the prize in accordance with applicable South Australian lottery requirements.

Any redraw, sale or other disposal of an unclaimed prize will only occur where legally permitted and subject to any required regulatory approval.

Cancellation or Changes

Public Private reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel the Raffle where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, subject to applicable South Australian law and any required approval.

Any material changes to the draw date, closing date, prize or other significant conditions will be communicated through the Raffle Website where required.

Use of Raffle Proceeds

Funds raised through the Raffle will support the production and delivery of BENCHED, including exhibition and production costs, and Public Private's broader objective of creating opportunities for public engagement with architecture and design through exhibitions, workshops, talks and other public programs.

Funds will be administered by Public Private in accordance with applicable South Australian lottery requirements and its not-for-profit objectives.

Disputes

Public Private will endeavour to resolve any complaint or dispute relating to the Raffle directly and fairly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved, Public Private may seek guidance from Consumer and Business Services South Australia (CBS) or another relevant regulatory authority.

Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Raffle will be used for the administration of the Raffle, including processing entries, conducting the draw, contacting the winner and meeting applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Personal information may be provided to RaffleTix and relevant payment-processing providers where necessary to administer ticket purchases and the Raffle.

Marketing communications will only be sent where an entrant has consented to receive them or where otherwise permitted by law.

Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
