We're excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary of giving part and full scholarships to young, emerging musicians across the Sunshine Coast . A project that started in 2016 with 20 local Eumundi kids has now grown to over 300 kids across the Sunshine Coast coming together for an awesome night of music. This authentic yidaki was acquired by Xavier Rudd during a journey to Arnhem Land more than twenty years ago. It has been part of his personal collection ever since and was played during performances in his early touring years.
A deeply meaningful instrument in Aboriginal culture, the yidaki reflects Xavier's long-standing respect for and connection to First Nations music and culture. Donated from his personal collection, this is a rare and special piece of Xavier's musical journey, generously offered to support Eumundi School of Music
