Staged in the twin-towns of Echuca-Moama on the third weekend in February each year, Riverboats Music Festival takes place under towering river red gums in a natural amphitheatre next to the mighty Murray River. Historic paddlesteamers meander past all weekend, and occasionally the corellas get a bit raucous at sunset. We have one stage and plenty of room for dancing, brilliant artists and some of the best food trucks going round.

Tentative dates for 2026 are 20 - 22 February.

Junction is a restaurant and bar located on the stunning Murray River in the picturesque Echuca Moama tourist district. It’s the ultimate escape – the perfect spot to enjoy sensational food, wine, cocktails and craft beer that showcases everything the region has to offer in a single, sophisticated setting.

Junction is an over 18 venue at all times – this includes infants.

The bustling Port of Echuca is recognised as one of Australia’s finest heritage icons.

Built in 1865 by the Victorian Railways, it was the main shipbuilding centre for the river transport industry. Some of the boats built in Echuca, such as the PS Adelaide, still operate today. At its peak, Echuca supported 8 sawmills and turned over up to 240 paddlesteamers a year.

Take a trip on a paddlesteamer, discover the interpretative centre, see original working steam engines and pumps, and meet the engineers who operate them, watch the The Evans Brothers’ sawmill in action and take the kids to the Cargo Shed, which has been transformed into an educational, engaging and entertaining space for kids of all ages.
