As part of the 2026 Queensland Ornithological Conference, a raffle is being held as a joint initiative of BirdLife Southern Queensland and Birds Queensland. All profits from the raffle will be split equally and put towards their conservation work.
We would like to thank our sponsors: Wrightsair, Birdweather, Bellthorpe Stays Nature Retreat, Binna Burra Lodge, O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and La Source Australia, who have generously donated the prizes. Promoter
The 2026 Queensland Ornithological Conference Raffle will be conducted by Queensland Ornithological Society Inc (ABN: 43891 564 740). The benefiting organisation is Queensland Ornithological Society trading as Birds Queensland, which will donate half of the proceeds to BirdLife Australia – BirdLife Southern Queensland branch. The benefiting organisations are both not-for-profit organisations and registered charities.
Promotion Period
The Raffle starts at 8am AEST on Friday, 26th June. The Raffle closes at 1pm AEST on Saturday, 25 July, 2026. No entries will be accepted after this time.
Relevant States/Entry Restrictions
Entry is open to residents of Queensland and New South Wales, aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Raffle.
Tickets cannot be purchased by any individual involved in the organisation of the raffle or the draw (including RaffleTix). In addition, tickets cannot be purchased by the association conducting or benefiting from the raffle, or its Management Committee, including immediate family members*.
*Immediate family means a person’s spouse and family members residing at the same premises as the person.

Draw Details
The Draw will take place at 3.00pm (AEST) on 25th July 2026, at Sirromet, 850-938 Mount Cotton Rd, Mount Cotton, QLD, 4165.
Draw Method
An electronic draw will be conducted. The first prize is drawn first, followed by all other prizes in descending order.
Notification and Publication of Winners
The winner will be contacted by phone and email within 3 business days of being drawn. The Prize winner's names will be published on the Raffle Website and the Queensland Ornithological Conference website by 30 July, 2026. Please check the websites and the aforementioned for details.
Prize Claim Date
Winners have 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize.

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements
If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.
Additional Terms - Privacy
The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners reserve the right to send marketing communications to any entrant that opts-in to receive communications from the Promoter and its authorised marketing partners. The entrant can advise the Promoter at any time if they no longer wish to receive this information by contacting the Promoter’s Privacy Officer at aoc@birdlife.org.au. The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners may continue to send communications to the entrant for an indefinite period unless and until advised otherwise by the entrant.
