While our walks are free for the community, running Doggie Dates comes with significant ongoing costs. These expenses are essential to keep our programs operating smoothly and sustainably. To continue offering free walks in the future, we must either increase our fundraising efforts or consider introducing a participation fee — and we are committed to avoiding the latter.

Giveaways & Prizes: Small gifts, vouchers, or merchandise for competitions, events, pop ups and community appreciation.
Community Assistance Funds: Emergency help for participants facing hardship.
Volunteer Support: Tokens of appreciation
Event Support: Costs for supporting our walks and events including council fees and related costs

Website Hosting & Domain: Annual fees for hosting and maintaining your website (e.g., Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress).
Email Marketing Platform
Software Subscriptions
Online Payment Platforms: Stripe, PayPal, or Square merchant fees on ticket sales and donations.
Hardware: Laptops and mobile phones used for coordination and communication.
Advertising, Promotion & Outreach
Social Media Ads: Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads to promote events, awareness, or fundraising campaigns.
Printed Flyers & Posters: Distribution in local shops, vet offices, parks, and libraries and at our events and for our leaders walks.
Signage & Banners: Reusable or event-specific banners for visibility at public events and stalls.
Promotional Materials: Stickers, postcards, brochures, branded materials for outreach.
Administrative & Compliance
Bookkeeping / Accounting Fees: Professional services or subscriptions including accountancy and xero
Insurance: Public liability and volunteer cover.
