Duck races have been postponed to Sunday 1st February.

There is still time to get your Duck tickets and join us for a day of fun at Thorndon Park.

Purchase of a ticket or two (or three!) to support the Rotary Club of Morialta to raise funds for projects that will benefit our local community. 

The ducks will be racing down the rapids at Thorndon Park Reserve on Sunday January 26th 2026, Australia Day, to win a share in over $3500 in cash and prizes. 

Come along to cheer your duck on. The first 20 ducks from the yellow duck race, each of the five heats will go through to the final, with prizes both for grand final placings and for heat winners, and there will be plenty to get quacking about on the day. 

The duck race is a fun family event, located at one of Adelaide’s best picnic locations and a new adventure playground recently voted Australia’s best! (though you don’t have to be there to win).

Last year we had a quacking good time and this year’s event will be even bigger – with  a selection of food stalls selling a range of hot food,  BBQ food, popcorn, donuts, drinks, and fairy floss.

Tickets for ducks are available by using this form. Simply complete the details and we will send you the numbers of your racing ducks for the day. You get one duck in the race for each ticket you buy.  Ducks will race in five heats with numbered ducks (tickets) racing in groups of 400. So if you have Duck numbered between 1-400 it will be in heat 1, and if you have a duck numbered between 401-800 it will be in heat 2, etc. 

Have you also considered entering our limited Pink Duck Race (heat 1) or  Pink Duck Race (Heat 2), where all proceeds go to the Cancer Council for reseach into cancer. (Simply click on the words Pink Duck Race Heat 1 and Pink Duck Race heat 2 to take you to the ticket page)

Note we expect tickets to sell fast and they may not be available on the day.
