About Us
ARCR was founded in 2012 by a group of people passionate about their RC racing. They found the track abandoned by another club, as it was no longer fit for their purpose. In May of 2012 these members registered Adelaide Radio Controlled Raceway (ARCR). Originally the club was used to run Trucks but quickly evolved to encompass all 1:10 RC off-road.
After a few years of negotiations with the council, the committee at the time, managed to get permission to relocate to an open area in the park, without the trees in the middle of the track. With the help of the members we managed to build, in short time, a track that was considered amongst the best in Australia. The new facilities gave ARCR a new outlook on what we could manage, and within the year we held South Australia's first state title. Since that time we have run the state title each year, but in 2018 we had the privilege of run our first National titles.
Our plans for the future are to get bigger and better, we are trying to upgrade our facilities and at some point maybe get our own sanctioned events.
We are passionate about promoting and establishing a strong 1/10th Off-Road Electric Radio Controlled Racing in Adelaide. ARCR aims to have the best track in Australia, and to promote a family friendly environment for all. Members of our club are happy to help with the teaching of racing techniques of all aspects of racing, no matter how experienced you are.
ARCR is a not for profit club and we are based at the Mitchell Park Reserve in Adelaide. ARCR welcome anyone, who feels the same passion as we do. Our plan is to offer a variety of racing in 1:10 RC off-road electric including Buggies, Short Course and Stadium Trucks.
