Mel Scott of Purrticular Photography.
My name is Mel Scott, originally from a small town in Southland, New Zealand. I have lived in Australia since 2000, and now call it home.
Being raised on farmland, I have a huge love for all animals and have always had at least two cats and a dog (along with the odd bunny, budgie, goat, lamb, goldfish).
Having settled in Melbourne after a few years of travel, we adopted our first Siberian kitten, and from there our fur family has grown to two Siberians and two Labradoodles.
It has been these four, plus the support of a wonderful instagram community, that has sparked a passion for pet photography. I specialise in feline photography but love to photograph all pets.
I work very closely with two animal rescue groups, volunteering my time and services to photograph the cats and dogs in need of a loving home. Although it breaks my heart to see so many pets once dumped, stray, neglected, I hope that my photography can assist in them finding their furever homes.
