HOME provides a long-term home for 20 people living with a enduring mental illness who are at risk of homelessness. Each resident lives in a self contained unit in a safe, loving and non-institutional setting. HOME provides lunch each day cooked by volunteers. Residents come together to enjoy a meal, good conversation and friendship.
HOME does not receive any recurrent government funding; once rents are received, a further $350,000+ p/a is required.
Your donation will assist with staffing and the general running costs associated with caring for the residents who live at HOME.
About the Raffle
The Raffle starts at 9am AEDT on Thursday, 16 November 2023. The Raffle closes at 10am AEDT on Monday, 5 February 2024. No entries will be accepted after this time.
Promoter
The HOME in Queanbeyan February 2024 Raffle will be conducted by HOME in Queanbeyan Incorporated (ABN 37 948 619 941). The benefiting organisation is a not-for-profit organisation.
Relevant States/Entry Restrictions
Entry is open to residents of New South Wales (NSW) and Australian Capital Territory (ACT) aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Raffle.
Residents of any other States and Territories not listed above are not permitted to enter the raffle and are not eligible for any prizes.
The following people are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:
- Members of the Management Committee from the Organisation conducting the raffle or benefitting from the raffle;
- Employees and Contractors of RaffleTix;
- Any other person directly engaged in managing the raffle or conducting the draw; or
- Any immediate family members of any of the above. Immediate family means a person's spouse (including de-facto spouse), parents, children, and any other family members residing at the same premises as the person.
The following entities are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:
- The Organisation conducting the raffle;
- The Organisation benefiting from the raffle.
The Prizes
The prizes, including all relevant Terms and Conditions relating to the prizes, can be seen under the Prizes heading on the raffle website.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Prize images may be for illustrative purposes only and are not necessarily an image of the actual prize.
Maximum number of tickets
1800 tickets available for purchase at a cost of $25 each or 5 tickets for $100.
Draw Details
The Draw will take place at 10.00am AEDT on Monday, 5 February 2024 at 284 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.
Draw Method
An electronic draw will be conducted. First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizes in descending order.
Notification and Publication of Winners
Winners will be notified by telephone and in writing within two (2) business days of being drawn (by Wednesday, 7 February 2024). Prize Winners’ names will be published on the Raffle Website and the HOME in Queanbeyan Website and Facebook page.
Prize Claim Date
If the winner is from NSW:
Winners have twelve (12) months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize.
Except for the raffle's First Prize, which will need to be claimed by 12pm (AEDT) 15 February 2024 due to the nature of the prize (an event on 22nd February 2024).
If the First Prize is not claimed before this date, a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 10am (AEDT) 16 February 2024 at 284 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.
If the winner is from ACT:
Winners have 1 month from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize.
Except for the raffle’s First Prize, which will need to be claimed by 12pm (AEDT) 15 February 2024 due to the nature of the prize (an event on 22nd February 2024).
If the First Prize is not claimed before this date, a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 9am (AEDT) 16 February 2024 at 284 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.
If the winner of the Second, Third, or Fourth Prize resides in the ACT and they do not claim their prize by 12pm (AEDT) on 5 March 2024, a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 9am (AEDT) on 8 March 2024 at 284 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620. If the redraw winner does not claim their Prize within 12 months from the date, they are notified in which to claim their prize, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize
Winners are to contact the Promoter in order to claim their prize.
Unclaimed Prize Arrangements
If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.
