2026 Broome Therapy Dogs Fundraiser Raffle for local charities

Introduction

Broome Therapy Dogs operates as a community service with two primary objectives:

100% free therapy dog sessions to those in need in the Broome community, including:
- Older adults
- People experiencing loneliness
- Children and teens
- Clients managing illness or disability
- Individuals living with mental health challenges
- Community groups
- Workplaces seeking wellbeing boosts
Fundraising - not for us - but for four worthy Broome-based charities supporting key areas of need in the welfare of:
- Children: Feed the Little Children Inc.
- Women: Broome Family & Domestic Violence Refuge
- Men: Spoke to a Bloke Broome
- Animals: SAFE Broome

All of this forms part of our broader goal to promote mental health awareness, emotional support, and meaningful connection across our community.

This raffle is a key part of our fundraising efforts and we greatly appreciate your support. All funds, net of RaffleTix fees, will be shared equally among our four beneficiaries and be put to good use right here in Broome.

The draw will be completed in the order the prizes are listed - starting with 1st Prize (highest value) - the beautiful gold and diamond pendant from Jewels of the Kimberley valued at $1,750, and continuing on for a total of 36 chances to win! Tickets may only be purchased by persons located in Western Australia at the time of purchase.
Ticket sales will close automatically on Sunday, 7 June 2026 2:30pm.
Raffle will be drawn at Divers Tavern (12 Cable Beach Road, Cable Beach) on Sunday 7 June 2026 at 3.00pm. Attendance is encouraged but not compulsory.

Promoter

Beneficiaries

The benefiting organisations are (proceeds shared equally):

Feed the Little Children Inc (ABN 13 676 049 109), a non-profit organisation
MercyCare’s Broome Family & Domestic Violence Refuge (ABN 31 098 197 490), a non-profit organisation
Spoke to a Bloke (Broome) (ABN 38 795 301 321), a non-profit organisation
SAFE (Broome) (ABN 59 337 498 934), a non-profit organisation

Raffle Promotion Period

The Raffle starts on Monday 9 March 2026.

The Raffle closes at 2:30pm WST, Sunday 7 June 2026. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Relevant States

Entry is open to persons situated in Western Australia (WA) at the time of purchasing the ticket. Tickets are not available for sale outside of Western Australia (WA).

Entry Restrictions

Regardless of location, the following people are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:

The Permit Holder;
Members of the Management Committee, staff, and contractors from the Organisation;
Employees and Contractors of RaffleTix;
Any other person directly engaged in managing the raffle or conducting the draw.

The following entities are not eligible to enter and are not eligible for any prizes:

The Organisation conducting the raffle;
The Organisation benefitting from the raffle.

Verification Requirements

If requested by the Promoter, a person drawn as the winner of a prize must produce photographic proof of identification, age and residency prior to being awarded a prize. If they do not do this promptly to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, the Promoter may redraw the prize subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, in which case that person forfeits any right to claim the prize.

Maximum Number of Tickets

3,000 tickets are available for purchase.

Tickets will be on sale for $10.00 each.

Within the limits of the tickets available for purchase, no maximum number of entries applies. Participants may purchase as many tickets as they like while the Raffle remains open, and tickets are available.

Prize Details

The prizes, including all relevant Terms and Conditions relating to the prizes, can be seen under the Prizes heading on the raffle website.

Prizes within a radius of 25km of the draw location will be hand-delivered or mailed via standard Australia Post. Prizes to the remainder of Western Australia will be paid by the Promoter to the extent of standard Australia Post. Any further delivery costs, insurances and risk are the responsibility of the winner.

Prize values are provided by the prize sponsor and accurate as at the commencement date for the Raffle.

Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter will substitute it for another prize of equal or higher value (at the Promoter's absolute discretion), subject to regulatory approval.

Prize images may be for illustrative purposes only and are not necessarily an image of the actual prize.

Draw Details

The Draw will take place at 3:00pm WST, Sunday 7 June 2026 at Divers Tavern, 12 Cable Beach Road, Cable Beach WA 6726.

Attendance at the draw is not a requirement of eligibility to win a prize.

The draw will take place in accordance with State Government regulations and the RaffleTix platform.

An electronic random draw will be conducted via the RaffleTix platform. The draw will be conducted in the order of the prizes as listed from 1st prize (highest $ value) to 36th prize (lowest $ value).

Notification and Publication of Winners

Prize winners' names will be published on the Organisation’s website https://www.broometherapydogs.au on or before Tuesday 9 June 2026. The Promoter will endeavour to contact prize winners by Wednesday 10 June 2026 by phone or email provided as part of the ticket purchase.

Prize Claim Date

Winners are to contact the Promoter to claim their prize.

If you are a winner, you are responsible for your use of the prize, including complying with all relevant laws and any applicable terms and conditions of use.

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements

If a Prize is not claimed within 12 months of the draw date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Net proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Beneficiaries.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the raffle Promoter will attempt to resolve the dispute directly with the complainant. If a satisfactory outcome between the parties is unable to be achieved, the Promoter will liaise directly with the relevant State and Territory Authorities.

Additional Terms – Privacy

The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners reserve the right to send marketing communications to any entrant who opts-in to receive communications from the Promoter and its authorised marketing partners. The entrant can advise the Promoter at any time if they no longer wish to receive this information, by contacting the Promoter's Privacy Officer at enquiry@broometherapydogs.au. The Promoter and its authorised marketing partners may continue to send communications to the entrant for an indefinite period unless and until advised otherwise by the entrant.

By entering the promotion, winners agree to have their photo taken for promotional purposes.
