A tribute to classic elegance, this 18ct White Gold, Aquamarine & Diamond Ring was designed by award-winning Woollahra Jeweller, Matthew Ely.
At its heart is a magnificent emerald-cut aquamarine, measuring 13.3mm x 9.7mm, and weighing an impressive 7.04 carats. Framing this central stone are two baguette diamonds (0.27 carats), and two tapered baguette diamonds (0.11 carats), their geometric brilliance enhancing the ring’s Art Deco-inspired allure.
The band features a stunning display of 18 round brilliant cut white diamonds, measuring 1mm each, with a total weight of 0.52 carats.
For an enchanting hidden detail, four 1.1mm and two 1.2mm round brilliant cut diamonds are discreetly placed under the setting. These accent diamonds add a subtle yet enchanting touch, with a total weight of 0.05 carats.
Derived from the Latin "aqua marina" or "sea water," aquamarines were once believed to be precious treasures from mermaids. Notably, Princess Diana herself owned an emerald cut aquamarine ring flanked with diamonds and set in yellow gold, a testament to the timeless allure of this mesmerising gemstone.
Detailed specification: 18ct white gold, 7.04ct emerald-cut aquamarine, 2 baguette diamonds (0.27ct), 2 tapered baguette diamonds (0.11ct), 18 round brilliant cut white diamonds (0.52ct), 4x 1mm white diamonds, 2x 1.2mm white diamonds
