Merewether High School Raffle for a Remedy!
The Raffle for a Remedy, organised by the Merewether High School Prefects and the P&C Association, will raise money for the World's Greatest Shave. The World's Greatest Shave is an annual event where family, friends, businesses and individuals come together to raise money by getting sponsored to be brave and shave their heads. All funds raised will help support Aussie families facing blood cancer and will assist the Leukaemia Foundation to achieve its goal of zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035!
The World's Greatest Shave has been Merewether High School's annual fundraiser for over a decade. Merewether first supported this charity in support of a member of the school community who was diagnosed with blood cancer. Year after year, the Merewether school community manages to beat annual monetary records. Last year, the prefects raised over $78,000 - an incredible amount of money. However, this year's prefects are determined to smash their record.
