Purchase of a ticket or two (or three!) to support the Rotary Club of Morialta to raise funds for projects that will benefit our local community. 

The ducks will be racing down the rapids at Thorndon Park Reserve on Sunday January 26th 2025, Australia Day, to win a share in over $2000 in cash and prizes.  Food and festivities commence from 11 am, while races starts at 1pm and wraps up at 3:30pm

Come along to cheer your duck on. The first 20 ducks from each of the five heats will go through to the final, with prizes both for grand final placings and for heat winners, and there will be plenty to get quacking about on the day. 

The duck race is a fun family event, located at one of Adelaide’s best picnic locations and a new adventure playground recently voted Australia’s best! (though you don’t have to be there to win).

Last year we had a quacking good time and this year’s event will be even bigger – with  a selection of food stalls selling a range of hot food,  BBQ food, popcorn, donuts, drinks, and fairy floss.

Tickets for ducks are available by using this form. Simply complete the details and we will send you the numbers of your racing ducks for the day. You get one duck in the race for each ticket you buy.  Ducks will race in five heats with numbered ducks (tickets) racing in groups of 450. So if you have Duck numbered between 1-450 it will be in heat 1, and if you have a duck numbered between 451-900 it will be in heat 2, etc. 

Have you also considered entering out limited Pick Duck Race (heat 1) or  Pink Duck Race (Heat 2), where all proceeds go to the Cancer Council for reseach into cancer?

Note we expect tickets to sell fast and they may not be available on the day.

• Other local community causes Thank you for your support of our community initiatives. While you don’t have to be there on the day to win, we look forward to seeing as many racers and spectators as possible, to make this an Aussie Day Duck Race for the ages.

Food and activities available including a BBQ, drinks, popcorn, photo booth.

Heat policy: if the day is expected to be over 35 degrees we will postpone the event to the following day, or following weekend if the following day is also expected to be over 35.  We will endeavor to let all duck ticket owners know by email if the event is postponed and the general public via the Club's Facebook page.
