Kids in Care ACT Inc. Kids in Care Christmas Raffle 2025

The annual charity drive was started by ACT Policing’s Detective Sergeant John Giles after he attended an incident in December 2013 where they found four small children who had been neglected, including a baby who was only a few weeks old.

“These children had the clothes on their backs and very little else. One of the children, a little girl who was around 4 years old, offered to show me her Christmas tree, which she said was beautiful,” Detective Sergeant Giles said.

“I was mortified by what I saw, and I knew I had to do something, and that something was Kids in Care.”

Our purpose is to advance social and public welfare by providing support to any at-risk children and those living in poverty without discrimination within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and neighbouring NSW Areas. We wish to further enhance the emotional, mental and physical wellbeing of all children involved in the Child Protection system of the ACT and neighbouring NSW areas. The goal is to preserve the children’s social and environmental development. We do this by providing gifts to vulnerable children at Christmas, Easter and support with goods at time a child is placed into emergency, foster or kinship care within ACT and neighbouring NSW areas.

About the Raffle

The Kids in Care Christmas RAFFLE 2025 Raffle will be conducted by the Kids in Care ACT Inc. (ABN 41 927 421 659). The benefitting organisation is Kids in Care ACT Inc. (ABN 41 927 421 659). The benefitting organisation is a not-for-profit organisation.

The Raffle starts at 9am AEDT on 5 November 2025. The Raffle closes at 9 am AEDT on 16th December 2025. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Entry is open to residents of Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Raffle.

3,000 tickets available for purchase at a cost of $5 each.

The Draw will take place at 10 am (AEDT) on Tuesday 16th December 2025 at U1/38 Kembla Street, Fyshwick ACT.

Draw Method: An electronic draw will be conducted. First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizing in descending order.

Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the winners of prizes. Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email and listed on the Kids in Care ACT Inc. website, this RaffleTix website and the Kids in Care ACT Inc. Facebook page on 16 December 2025. Prize Claim Date

Winners have 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize, except if the winner is from the ACT.

If the winner resides in the ACT and they do not claim their prize by midnight AEDT on 31 January 2026, a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 2 pm AEDT on Monday, 2 February 2026 at U1/38 Kembla Street, Fyshwick ACT. If the redraw winner does not claim their Prize within 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize.

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements

If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.

There is an agreement with RaffleTix (ABN 24 623 531 340) to promote or conduct this raffle for reward.
